NAWCC-CH159

"British Horology"

WELCOME

If you are interested in British clocks, watches and/or their makers you have something in common with our chapter members. We are an International Special Interest chapter. We hold three meetings a year, the first at the Florida Winter Regional, the second at the Southern Ohio Regional and the third during the NAWCC National Convention. It is our practice to have at least one in depth presentation on some aspect of British horology at each meeting.

Since 1998 Chapter 159 has sponsored four English tours. During those tours, participants have not only viewed and examined horological items and collections that are open to the public but also horological items and collections that are not open for public viewing.

Our illustrated, multi-page newsletter is published three times yearly, in March, June and November. It not only keeps our members up to date on what is happening in the chapter but contains technical and non-technical articles on British timekeeping subjects.

If you have a question, except for monetary value of an item, contact one of our officers.

If the officer cannot answer, an attempt will be made to forward the question to a chapter member who can answer.

      Our current officers are:
            Ken Johnston, President, Email: horology@suddenlink.net
Lee Yelvington, Vice President, Email: itsabouttime@mindspring.com
            Dave Kern, Treasurer, Email: dkern@optonline.net
            Julie Kern, Secretary, Email: julienm@optonline.net

Chapter membership is restricted to current NAWCC members. Dues are $5.00 per year for NAWCC members with U.S. mailing addresses and $6.00 (U.S.) per year for NAWCC members with mailing addresses outside of the United States.
